The Conservation Advisory Council (CAC) is established under Article II of Chapter 14 of the Mount Pleasant Town Code. Citizen participation working in partnership with local and state government and various other organizations is essential in providing and implementing a sound environmental program. The powers and duties of the CAC include, among other things, advising the Town Board on matters affecting the protection of the environment; developing and conducting programs for public education and information; coordinating, assisting and unifying efforts of private groups and individuals; and working in cooperation with the Planning Board.
